Trip report from Asia

Thank you to all of you who prayed for my, Steve's, recent trip to Asia. I was able to take part in the training of some Asian leaders while I was over there. This was a great experience for me. Not only did I get to witness the exciting things that our God is doing in that part of the world, but I also got a small taste of what being in a completey foreign culture is like. I'm sure this experience will benifit me once I get to Indonesia. I was also able to get a more complete understanding of the way that our church wants to be involved in missions. I learned that it's important to have a plan and vision, and not get involved in everything that sounds good.
I was also told while I was over there that I have the "stomach of a missionary." That's because I was able to eat everything that was put in front of me without consequence. Most of the time I was not completly sure what it was, except of course for the rice. I knewwhat that was, as I ate it three meals a day. I'm sure this experience will also benefit me in Indonesia.
