My mouth just can't do that!!!

We are currently in Colorado Springs, CO. We are at a language acquistion course at Missionary Training International.
That means that we are spending our days sitting around a circle learning to make lots of sounds that American mouths don't usually make. We learned that Americans only make 44 sounds in English, but there are hundreds more possible that are often used in other languages. So, we each have our own mirrors to watch our mouths as we attempt to learn to contort them into many unusual positions.
We should be back in TN just in time to attend the final Moody Aviation alumni dinner. This will be the end to a legacy that I'm proud to be a part of. Please pray for the staff of Moody Aviation as they are losing their jobs this summer, and will be looking forward to what God has in their futures.

Packing Crates

What a mess!!! We spent two weeks in TN busily building crates and inventoring half of our stuff. It has gone much slower than we anticipated. After two weeks, I think we are still less than halfway packed.
The first picture is of our two crates getting ready for boxes to be packed. The second picture is what Laura's parents' living room looked like while we were trying to figure out what to pack for Indonesia and what to leave here.

Back home in TN...for a little while

We had a great time at orientation in California. My flight training trip to Idaho was good and challenging. If you would like to see the short video I made of it, then email us and we'll send it to you. We have now been commisioned by MAF to fulfull our part in reaching the world for Christ. We have our TICKETS TO INDONESIA ON JULY 2nd! Woohoo!
Right now we are enjoying our time in TN. This will be some of our last times to spend with family and friends here. We hope to be able to see everybody before we leave for Indonesia.
We are also spending this time packing, buying things, and building crates. Today, we spent $220 at Lowes to get wood for our crates...this comes out of our outgoing expenses. We also picked up a gas oven at Home Depot that we will be able to use overseas...the money for this was donated to us by a kind and generous individual. THANK YOU!
We still have quite a few things to buy or get. Please pray with us about what and how to buy these things. You can see our list on the Household Needs page of this website. If you are interested in helping us out in a tangible way, then please email us. THANK YOU so much to all of you who have already given so much. You are a blessing to us!
We will be in Colorado Springs for the last two weeks in May for a language acquistion course. The third week in June we plan to go to my hometown in Arkansas to spend a little more time with my family and friends. Finally, we will return to TN, finish packing our crates, pack our bags for language school, and leave for Indonesia on July 2nd. We are looking forward to how God works in our lives and in your over the next few months.
