Where Do You Keep Your Water Buffalo?

You keep your water buffalo next to the water of course. In this case the water is the ocean.

This past week we went to the beach to use some of our vacation days while we were not able to fly. Every morning we would go sit on the beach. We would watch fishermen, waves, and the water buffalo walk past. Some mornings we would be too late, but we would go find their tracks in the sand.

Grounded

With less than 12 hours notice we found out that the Indonesian Air Force would be practicing in our area for three weeks. So until June 21st, we are grounded. I guess they are afraid of the liability of a small float plane getting caught in the middle of all their fun.

So in the meantime, Laura and I decided we should take some vacation days and head to the beach. Tomorrow morning we leave for the south coast of Java to spend 7 days completely far away from everything. Won't it be great?
