Fish and Tour of our new facilities

Here's my fish!!!

The man below gave it to me because he caught it just about the time that I landed in his little village. He figured that Mr. Steve might want it.

I thought it was pretty cool that he wanted to give it to me since it would surely feed his family. On the other hand, I think the area of the river where he caught it is pretty easy location to catch fish.

I thought it might be interesting to show a few pictures of our new property and office here in PalangkaRaya. Of course, you can't fully appreciate it if you hadn't "experienced" our old location. One thing is for sure, and that's that we love the new place and we haven't taken it for granted yet. It is such a blessing from God.

Above is the view of our office from outside.

At our old location, if we had a medical flight, we would have to carry that person for ever (more than 1/4 mile.) This is a picture of our home made stretcher that we used to carry the people.

Now we can back an ambulance right up to where the airplane is. Here is the road to the floating hangar right past the office. Right now the river is a bit low, which is quite noticeable in the picture. You can see the hangar roof is level with our driveway right now.

Here is the guard shack. From this location our night guards can watch our whole property.

This is our latest addition that was built this last week. It's a bridge to get to the fish restaurant next door.

At the restaurant you eat in little bungalows and you sit on the floor around a mat. The fish really is pretty good. Too bad the fish is polluted with Mercury. At least they serve chicken too.

Here is the bridge from the hangar to the office.

Lastly, the view inside the hangar. Plenty of room for two airplanes. Above is MCD right before I flew it today. Below is MCB where I left it yesterday. I'm in the middle of inspecting that aircraft. We have to inspect our birds every 50 hours of flight time.

It's hard to tell from this picture, but in front of the airplane we have two rooms. The one on the right is where we keep all our spare parts. We keep that room air conditioned so the parts won't corrode. The room on the left is our workshop.
